About the Client
A National Main Contractor who specialise in complex and high value fit out & refurbishment projects across the UK. They have a team of Construction Professionals who run the Special Projects team and deliver projects ranging in value from £8m – £50m. Projects include Grade 2 Listed Buildings, Multi Storey conversions, Hotel refreshes and others.
About the Role
You will join as a Senior Project Manager and work closely with a site based Contracts Manager and a full time Senior PM. The project is a £40m CAT A fit out & refurbishment of a Listed Building in the City Centre of Liverpool. You will assist the senior management and design teams in resolving complex site matters and helping the project to run smoothly. You will be responsible for speaking to the client and stakeholders, preparing scope of work and programmes for sub contractors, assisting with Design VE and Commercial matters from a Project Management perspective, trouble shooting on site. The role is predominantly office based in the site office and you will be provided with a company laptop and asked to assist in dealing with complicated matters.
What you Need to Succeed
You must be a well established Main Contractor Senior PM, with a proven track record of running and delivering your own projects. Experience in dealing with complex refurbishments, including Listed Buildings would be beneficial. The project has over 250 men on site, including multiple sub contractors, and a big Design Team working alongside the Senior Managers. You must be a good problem solver and be able to take ownership and deal with complicated construction procedures. You must be educated to a degree level in Construction and have excellent IT and communication skills.
