About the Client
Design Manager job with a blue chip main contractor based in the North West. An opportunity to join one of the market leading Main Contractors and one of the fastest growing Construction companies in the UK. They are a Top 10 Contractor and have a strong market presence across refurbishment, fit out and design & build sectors. They are experiencing a sustained period of growth within the organisation and are looking to add an experienced Design Manager to their pre construction team. The company turnover in excess of £100million.
What you Need to Succeed
You will come from a strong main contracting background and have experience leading and teams to work together to produce coordinated and coherent designs. You will be highly motivated and have strong organisational skills. You will be comfortable working alongside architects, structural engineers and specialist designers, and ensure that the design information is correct and keeps pace with project timescales. You will have good communication skills and be able to keep cool under pressure.
About the Role
You will join the team on the 2nd stage of the 2 stage tender on a JCT Design & Build Contract with a project value of £60million. You will be responsible for assisting the existing Design Team with fit out packages for a CAT A fit out across 8 storeys of a Grade 2 Listed Building. You must have experience working as Design Manager on projects in excess of £20m value and be able to coordinate the design team on a complex project which is a grade 2 listed building. You will sit in on design meetings, produce meeting minutes and focus everyone to the tight programme and budget constraints.
